Everything your pet needs, in one place

Supernormal started as a tag. The app is what makes the tag worth wearing.

A profile that never goes out of date Photo, breed, age, microchip number, medical notes, feeding instructions, and as many trusted contacts as you like. Change your phone number and the tag is current the same second. Online pet profile Instant scan alerts The moment someone scans your tag, you get a notification with where they scanned it. You'll often know your pet is safe before you know they were missing. Smart pet tags Community lost-pet alerts Mark your pet as lost and nearby Supernormal members, vets and shelters are notified. More eyes, straight away. Lost-pet alerts Ask Nova, our AI vet assistant Describe a symptom, get a considered answer on what it might be and whether it's worth a vet visit. Available at 3am, when most worrying starts. Online vet advice Training that fits your dog Milo builds guidance around your pet's breed, age and stage — puppy recall or a senior dog who's started barking at the postman. Dog training Reminders you'll actually keep Flea and worm treatments, medication, grooming, the annual booster. Set the cadence once and stop keeping it in your head. Pet reminders

What happens when your pet is found

1

Someone finds your dog or cat. They scan the QR code with any phone camera, or tap the tag against it. No app, no account, nothing to download.

2

They see your pet's profile. Your name, your number, a backup contact, your vet, and anything a finder needs to know — exactly as much as you've chosen to share.

3

You get an alert. A notification lands on your phone with the location of the scan, so you know where your pet was found, not just that they were.

No batteries. No charging. No monthly tracker fee for the tag to keep working.

When something doesn't look right

Most pet-health worry starts with a photo you've taken on your phone and no idea what you're looking at. The app gives you a first read in under a minute.

Every result comes with a clear verdict — healthy worth watching see a vet — and you can share it with your vet in a tap.

Supernormal doesn't diagnose and it isn't a substitute for a vet. It's there to help you work out whether the thing you're staring at needs an appointment, and to give your vet something useful when you book one.

The unglamorous half

The everyday features that keep working long after the novelty wears off.

More than one pet? Manage them all from one account, and switch between them in a tap.

Share access. Give your partner, dog walker or house-sitter access to a pet's profile, and take it back whenever you like.

Reminders on your cadence. Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly.

Courses. Short lessons you can work through at your own pace.

Refer a friend. Both of you get something out of it. Refer a friend

Private until you decide otherwise

A tag that shows a stranger your home address is a worse idea than no tag at all.

Privacy Mode keeps your pet's details hidden until you choose to reveal them — you pick what a finder sees, and you can change it at any time. There are no public listings, your data isn't sold, and nothing about where you are is tracked when you don't want it to be.

Do you need a GPS tracker, an engraved tag, or this?

Honestly: it depends on your pet.

If your cat roams and you want to watch a live map, buy a GPS tracker — that's what they're for, and we don't pretend otherwise. We've written about the trade-offs

If what you actually want is for whoever finds your pet to be able to reach you — quickly, with the right information, without a battery to remember — that's this.

What you get for nothing

The app is free to download and there's a free plan that keeps your pet's core details in one place.

Paid plans add the parts that need a service running behind them — scan alerts, community lost-pet alerts, vet and kennel notifications, Nova, Milo, and the health inspectors.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The app is free to download on iOS and Android, and there's a free plan for keeping your pet's details in one place. Features that need a live service behind them — scan alerts, community lost-pet alerts, and the AI vet, training and health tools — are on the paid plans.
No, and that's the point. They scan the QR code with their phone camera or tap the NFC tag, and your pet's profile opens in their browser. No download, no account.
No. There's no battery and nothing to charge. When someone scans your tag you get a notification that includes where the scan happened — so you learn where your pet was found. If you want to watch your pet's position on a live map, you want a GPS tracker instead.
You edit it in the app and the tag is current immediately. That's the main advantage over an engraved tag, which holds whatever number it held on the day it was engraved.
Yes. The Unlimited plan covers every pet on your account, and you can share access to a pet's profile with a partner, walker or sitter — and revoke it whenever you like.
No. Nova helps you understand what you're seeing and whether it warrants an appointment, and gives you something useful to show your vet when you book one. It doesn't diagnose, and anything urgent needs a vet.
Order a replacement and link it to the same pet profile in the app. The profile, contacts and history stay exactly where they are.
iOS 15.1 and up, and Android. There's also a full web version at app.supernormalpets.com if you'd rather not install anything.
